What do you enjoy about being a judge? I truly enjoy experiencing the passion and creativity others bring to their craft, while deepening my own understanding of what’s happening in an industry I’m proud to be a part of.
What do you look for in the categories that you judged? A great start, and a lasting finish! The nose and the lasting flavors on the palate are exactly what I value most.
What are some key tips when looking for a spirit in store as a customer ? Always take a moment to read the label and don’t let the color mislead you. Some of the finest whiskies I’ve tasted have had the palest hues.
