The palate is plush and creamy from the near full malolactic conversion, swathed in warm French oak spice with fine acid tension on the finish.

Extended skin contact on a selection of the ripest fruit parcels is essential for promoting the signature salmon pink colour of The Ned Pinot Gris. Equally important is the positive effect this technique has on the wine's depth of flavour and overall mouth feel; balance and drinkability is achieved via a fresh thread of Waihopai acidity and the long, lightly drying tannin tail.

A sensitively handled blend of two Pinot varieties; one where the Noir delivers a long, saturated core of pure berry fruit flavour with crisp acid edges and a lightly drying tannin tail whilst the Gris provides the perfect juxtaposition - a subtle richness that lends fruit sweetness, flesh and palate texture.

The Ned Sauvignon Blanc - Punchy aromatics of lemon and lime citrus with undertones of juicy tropical fruits, fill the nose. Plush on the palate, showing juicy grapefruit freshness with lively acidity carrying these classical Waihopai Valley characters to a lengthy finish.

Ripe nectarine and peach notes on the nose. The palate is full bodied and rich with a broad, slippery texture. Browned butter, toasted cashed and canned peach notes all add interest. The finish is long and rich.

Rich notes of tropical fruits that span the spectrum from apricot to pineapple. There is also lifted floral and citrus note, similar to orange blossom, which adds delicacy and fineness. The palate is full bodied and rich with a very plush texture. Palate flavours of canned peach and suggestions of Turkish Delight all contribute interest.

This Pinot Gris from Marlborough's Awatere Valley displays aromas of crisp pear, juicy ripe citrus and ginger notes. On the palate this fruit-driven wine displays fresh quince, apple, and subtle hints of sweet baking spice and lemon zest. Sourced entirely from vineyards located in Southern Marlborough's spectacular Awatere Valley, this vibrant wine displays aromas of lemongrass, sweet capsicum and underlying notes of freshly crushed herbs. The palate is layered with flavours of sweet pineapple, crunchy green apple, and supporting notes of fresh lime and pink grapefruit.
